Reproducing a modern doll artist's creation is not so very different from the antique reproduction process: same mold but only similar painting is called for. In other words, a modern reproduction in the loosest sense can involve some personal creativity. (Actually, so can the antiques; once the ware is in your hands, you can paint it like you darn well please! But for judging in competition, reproductions must be just that.)
Following are photos of some of the dolls for which we have molds. You either can order the soft-fired greenware (sf: stablized but not yet bisque fired, needs cleaning) or bisque blanks (bb: clean, bisque-fired, ready to paint), or you may order a set already painted and ready to string (pt). Prices include shoulder plate, arms and legs unless otherwise stated. Head-only price indicated by hd after the # designation.
Example: To order Sara in soft-fired greenware, the order number is #SRA/sf. To order the Sara head already painted, the order number is #SRA/pt/hd.
Or, best of all, order a custom-made doll, for which you select the doll, hair and eye color, and style and color scheme of her costume. Dolls are made by certified Doll Artisan Tatie (French for "auntie"), who not only will make your doll but will dress her in just the right heirloom couture.
