At Ma Poup�e, we are all about dolls, from breathtaking porcelain antique and artist reproduction dolls, to magnifique cribs, cradles and bassinets for dolly, to fabulously outfitted doll trunks and party sets. From our dollmaking Atelier(studio), we offer a broad array of greenware, bisque blanks and doll kits, as well as handmade composition doll bodies, mohair and human hair wigs that are hand stitched and styled for dolls, plus Seeley brushes and paints for those who love to create dolls. Though we worship her and are grateful for the trail she blazed, we are not talking Barbie here (though we are considering adding a vintage Barbie boutique to Demoiselle). Our antique reproduction dolls, created by certified Doll Artisan Tatie, have that unmistakable European look from the golden age of French and German dolls. Our artist reproduction dolls seem to have just stepped out of an heirloom bandbox, always outfitted in the finest French sewn and/or smocked doll's togs. (Look for Hollywood glamour dolls of the '30s and '40s later this year.) Our exquisite doll accessories are inspired by some things we have long coveted at the incomparable Paris toy mecca, Au Nain Bleu. The pieces and sets mostly are designed with the popular 18" doll in mind, unless it is a set that comes with its own doll. PLEASE NOTE: Many of our doll accessories -- play sets, trunks, beds and the like -- were made long before there was a Consumer Product Safety Commission to review them, therefore there is no guarantee that any of these items meet contemporary safety standards. Always be in charge of what your children play with, and use your judgment as to the age-appropriateness of any toy that we offer here. |
